5 Effective Presentation Tips from a Toddler

Perhaps it’s late in the workday. Your brain is weary from context switching, juggling emails and meetings and a general lack of movement. You land in another meeting and multiple colleagues are huddled together, discussing something urgent. Suddenly you’ve been singled out to share your thoughts on this topic to the rest of the group next week.

What now? Brain tired.

How do you deliver an effective presentation when everyone in the audience has likely been bombarded with information since 9am?

Be patient, hybrid work is still in it’s infancy. If your organization hasn’t yet taken a harsh stance against slide presentations, take a deep breath and improve your next presentation with tips from a toddler:

1. Use small words

Avoid jargon and acronyms. Use colors, analogies and visuals as needed, just a few is good enough. Keep it simple. Write like a human!
